MediaMan is a media cataloging tool for Windows. Also it is, perhaps, the most complete solution for the cataloging of books, movies and music. The application not only lets you add a limitless number of items, but it also lets you browse them with a virtual shelf. Unlike other similar cataloging programs, MediaMan understands that you might want to play music or your videos right from the interface, and so there are lists that allow you to do that. If you collect movies, you will be able to scan them using your webcam and you will see the downloaded cover art on the virtual shelf. The graphical user interface looks like the one of Internet Explorer, with a set of lists on the left which you can use to find your items more easily. Also, you will appreciate the Search field when your collection becomes large. Since version 2.7 there have been made some improvements and new features. Thumbnail renderings should be considerably faster in this version. There is a new button called "Sell this item" that you can use when you are ready to get rid of something in your collection. The item detail view now supports field reordering and hiding. The tag mode is working great, with several new enhancements and a quick tag feature. Also, you can see in the change log that literally hundreds of bugs have been fixed. With all these changes, I am confident in saying that MediaMan is the most stable and full-featured media cataloging tool out there.
